However, you can re-enable add-ins and prevent add-ins from being auto-disabled by other Office programs. I_ve got a problem with Outlook for users in the office that addins keep crashing Outlook. I FixTechGuide Windows update Outlook fix disable all addins on the users machines but the addins keep re-enabling themselves. If you re-enable an add-in that caused a performance problem at one time, users may experience performance problems in the future in the Office program for which the add-in is loaded.

Have questions or feedback about Office VBA or this documentation? Please see Office VBA support and feedback for guidance about the ways you can receive support and provide feedback. To disable all the add-ins, just use Group Policy to delete or rename the Addins to OldAddins.

How do I disable outlook add-ins

Unfortunately I don_t have an answer for this but I_m +1_ing it for needing a resolution. We_re on the Monthly build of Office 365 (click-to-run). This started happening a week or so ago, but it_s becoming increasingly annoying. Oftentimes in the disabled add-in box is Adobe Send & Track or Adobe PDF Maker, but also sometimes Salesforce for Outlook, which we need to continue to have enabled. We decided to discontinue the Outlook data file cannot be accessed outlook plugin service. I would like to know how to disable/remove the plugin for users who already have it installed.

Preventing add-ins from being disabled

Now when I open teams i can clearly see that 3rd party apps need to be requested but ms apps can be installed without issue. The user has control over which add-ins run on their computer. Beginning with Office 2013, system administrators can configure an enhanced level of control for add-ins by using group policy.

How do I disable an Outlook 2013 add-in without starting Outlook?

The problem is that this is starting to affect everyone in the company. It started with one user and now we have 20 reports and growing. I_d rather not go through every registy in the company to fix this issue. I suppose if it comes to it I can set a group policy to disabled all Outlook addins. It_s just strange that this is happening to everyone regardless of Outlook version (2016 and 2019) or Windows version (Windows 7 and Windows 10).

Thank you for your feedback!

Is there a way, maybe in regedit, to stop all addins from loading or force disabling all addins (that doesn_t involve loading into safe mode). You can change the TeamViewer settings to disable the TeamViewer's Outlook addin. Go to options, advance, then disable outlook addin near the bottom of the list. Well after disabling that setting, now I'm testing further and I noticed that if I open PowerPoint and click add-ins, I'm still freely able to install anything.

Go to options, advance, then disable outlook addin near the bottom of the list.

Unfortunately I don_t have an answer for this but I_m +1_ing it for needing a resolution.

We_re on the Monthly build of Office 365 (click-to-run).

To block add-ins that are not managed by this policy setting, you must also configure the Block all unmanaged add-ins policy setting.

This applies to teams and outlook and office apps.

I suppose if it comes to it I can set a group policy to disabled all Outlook addins.

I just went on the apps page and disabled "allow users to install 3rd party apps," while keeping the Microsoft app installs enabled. Compliance reached out to me and said users should only be able to freely install Microsoft owned apps on o365. This applies to teams and outlook and office apps. I was under the impression that this "let users access third party apps in your tenant" was all encompassing and would disable all 3rd party apps / add-ins for all o365 apps.

Support for keeping add-ins enabled

All the guides I've found online start with "go to the Tools menu". My problem is that Outlook 2013 will not start at all because it gets stuck at start-up while it tries to load the TeamViewer add-in. Block all unmanaged add-ins, and list of managed add-ins.

How to Keep Outlook Addins Disabled

In these cases, the cause of the crash or the loading failure needs to be fixed together with the add-in owner. I_m back in the office now after a week and this is still going on. It_s interesting that O365 and CTR users seems to be effected because the majority of the affected users in our office are Outlook 2016 or 2019, not O365 (though I think 2019 is online Outlook email repair utility CTR). To disable certain add-in, locate to the add-in under Addins, in the right panel, there is a subkey named LoadBehavior, set the value to _2_ to disable it. Exploring this admin page, i see that I'm able to make policies for each o365 app.
